You do not need to be an expert to join a Dnyx Academy internship, but a few hours of preparation lets you spend week 1 learning instead of installing things. Here is a checklist.
For everyone
- Test your setup. A laptop, a steady internet connection and a headset or earphones for sessions.
- Create a GitHub account. You will use it to keep and share your work.
- Block your calendar. Add the sessions and a daily practice slot, including the Wednesday workshop, Fun Friday and the Saturday Placement Spotlight Session. Sunday is your weekly off.
- Read the program page so you know what each of the four weeks covers.
If you chose the AI internship
- Install Python and an editor such as VS Code.
- Practise variables, loops, functions and lists. Ten small exercises are enough.
- Open a spreadsheet and look at what a table of data contains: rows, columns and missing values.
If you chose the MERN internship
- Install Node.js and VS Code.
- Refresh HTML and CSS by building one simple page.
- Practise JavaScript basics: variables, functions, arrays and objects.
Habits that help
- Practise a little every day rather than a lot on one day.
- Ask early. If you are stuck for more than 30 minutes, ask a question.
- Keep notes. A simple log of what you built each week becomes your portfolio outline.
What not to worry about
You do not need to finish a course before you start, and you do not need to know the tools in advance. The internship teaches them step by step.
Pick your path: AI internship or MERN internship. If you are undecided, read which one to choose.
