The Dnyx Academy AI internship runs for one month and is done entirely from home. It is built so that you do not need prior AI experience: you start with Python and finish with a project of your own. This guide walks through what each week looks like so you know what to expect before you enrol.
It is a learning-cum-internship, so every week follows the same rhythm: learning and building every day, a hands-on workshop on Wednesday, Fun Friday, a Placement Spotlight Session on Saturday and Sunday off. Each week ends with an assignment, and the month ends with a capstone project.
Week 1: Python for data science
The first week is about getting comfortable with Python and with data. You cover Python basics and object-oriented programming, then use NumPy and Pandas to load and reshape data. You plot it with Matplotlib and Seaborn, and you practise cleaning messy data and exploring it before any model is built.
By the end of the week you should be able to take a raw spreadsheet and describe what is in it.
Week 2: Machine learning fundamentals
Week two introduces machine learning. You work through supervised learning, where a model learns from labelled examples, and unsupervised learning, where it finds structure without labels. You learn how to evaluate a model so you can tell whether it actually works, and you build your first models with scikit-learn.
Week 3: Deep learning and NLP basics
In week three you move from classic models to neural networks. You build a network with Keras, then use convolutional networks for image recognition. The second half of the week turns to text: cleaning and preparing it, and building a simple sentiment analysis model.
Week 4: Capstone project
The last week is the capstone. You frame a problem, build an end-to-end AI pipeline, and present a demo. The capstone is the piece to talk about in interviews, because it is your own work from start to finish. On completion you receive a certificate, and you can verify it through the official Dnyx Academy website.
Who it suits
- Students and graduates who want a first structured AI project.
- Anyone comfortable with a computer and willing to practise a little every day.
- People who prefer a short, focused program over a long course.
